Six person charters on a luxurious yacht can be the most rewarding experience. Lots of fishing space and plenty of assistance in landing your catch is our goal. Reel Champion provides comfortable accommodations for overnight trips. On our yacht there is no minimum galley charge.

Here is a list of the most frequent fish you may catch.

Rock Cod – December through April. Bottom fish for ling cod, and other varieties. Fish range in size from 1 to 10 to 25 lbs.

Halibut Fishing – The patient anglers delight. Halibut have been caught in the waters around San Diego . Fish range in size from 2 lbs to 33 lbs.

Yellowtail Fishing – starts in late April and runs through November. Yellowtail is one of the most elusive fish in local waters. Fish range in size from 8 lbs to 35 lbs. This fish will challenge even the expert angler. Yellowtail fishing requires a full day trip to the Coronado Islands or Outer Banks.

Yellowfin Fishing - (Aka Gorella) along with Albacore fishing are the most popular trips. Albacore are the finest eating fish caught in Southern California . Pound for pound these fish fight harder than any other fish in the sea. A successful trip may net each angler 5 fish, after losing as many as 10 others.

Yellowfin and Albacore trips are full day departing at 10pm and returning by 7pm.

Additional Charter Information:

  • All charters include the finest fishing tackle, best food and most experienced crew. There is no extra charge for fun.
  • No minimum galley charge.
  • Each Charter includes sodas and bottled water.
  • Ice Chests and large tackle boxes are not necessary.
  • Additional beverages are permitted.
  • Fuel surcharge – due to the uncertainty of fuel prices, it may be necessary to make an adjustment in charter prices by way of fuel surcharge.
  • Changes – we maintain the right to make whatever changes in the trip that circumstances dictate, including cancellation due to weather, fishing conditions, acts of God, unavailability of boats, etc., or substitution of boats as deemed necessary.
